🚨 KNOW THE DIFFERENCE: E-BIKES vs. E-MOTOS 🚨
Not everything with two wheels and an electric motor is considered an e-bike! Knowing the difference matters, and so does following the law.
⚡ E-Bikes have pedals, provide electric assistance, and must meet Florida’s legal requirements to qualify as an electric bicycle.
🏍️ E-Motos that exceed e-bike classifications can require registration, a valid driver’s license, and a motorcycle endorsement to operate legally on public roads.
👮 The Hollywood Police Department will be enforcing all applicable laws. HPD will have increased enforcement for operators who violate traffic laws.
📢 Before you ride, know what you’re operating, understand the rules, and make responsible choices. Whether you’re riding an e-bike or an e-moto, traffic laws apply to everyone. No exceptions.
