Norman's "last" summer comes to a close on a good note. We only lost one game in our final tournament, although nationals did not end as planned. The team did very well in Tallahassee as well; only losing one game as well. Some serious tears were shed yesterday as we all said our goodbyes. This will definitely be a summer that none of us will ever forget; for the good and the bad. We brought out the best in each and every one of us. We grew as individuals, teammates, and leaders. The seniors are moving on to college and the underclassmen will surely find a new home. We will undoubtedly miss everyone. A special thanks to every single coach that made this summer possible. The impact that you have on us is undeniable. We love you Norman, Papa P, Coach Mo, and Coach Lacinda!

A quick practice before we hit the road? The weatherman has other plans for us. We watched Jocko #131 instead.
Here are some more pics from last weekend!

This weekend was busy for us! We won 6 games and tied 2 to go undefeated on the weekend at TNT. We also had the blessing of celebrating Norman's 60th together as a team. We made him a card and had a special surprise for him in a box of ci******es. Next stop: Tallahassee then Georgia.

On Wednesday night we went to an Iron Pigs minor league baseball team! We definitely had a fun night! We are currently undefeated in the TNT tournament. We won 2 and tied 2. Happy Birthday to the old man. Welcome to the glorious 60's. The girls made him a card as well as a stack of gift cards stored in his favorite box of ci******es. We finished off the night with a birthday dinner for Norms. We love you and are so incredibly thankful for everything that you sacrifice for us.
PS You're welcome for blessing you with some old Norman pictures.

Update: Norman just woke us up at 8 only to tell us that we are not leaving until 1045. We all sincerely appreciate the "preparation" for our 5 am wake up for tomorrow :)

Spent the day in DC more often hustling to find food instead of enjoying the scenery. Norman found his way to a McDonalds while the rest of us ran around the city taking pictures, but more often than not, videos of Jade dancing in public. Of course, we found our fair share of hot secret service men. Unfortunately, we could not snap a pic with them. Four and a hald hours later, we found ourselves in PA with an early morning practice tomorrow before we pick back up again tomorrow to find our way back to our new hotel. Something tells me the girls stuck in the back of the van are going to ask for a switch pretty soon with all this travel.

Only Coach Norman can turn a 5 hour drive into a 10 hour drive up to Washington DC (even though we are still an hour and a half out). We made a stop at the legendary Andy Griffin's home, although none of the girls actually knew at the time what they were looking at. Finally, we ended the night taking a few pictures in front of the love sign in the Luray Caverns in Virginia. We called it a day at a Comfort Inn for a quick nap before we head out on the road again.
