Ski Vaan - Your New Best XC Skiing Friend

Today will be Ethan Styvar‘s last individual race of this season. Future is a little unknown on which path he will go after graduating high school, but it will definitely involve racing at the next level.

today’s race is a 10k classic, his specialty. It’s gonna be fun! His classic technique is absolutely gorgeous and he has one of the best endurance engines out there at junior nationals.

 I know one thing is for sure. I’m gonna be really busy today selling all my Ski Vaans. It snowed 5” of mashed potatoes last night.

The non-race days.

The Junior Nationals are 4 races over 6 days. But most people don’t realize is that there is a significant amount of downtime. It’s essential to keep your mind occupied with something other than racing, but more constructive than doom scrolling on your phone. for example, Jessie Diggins and Ben Ogden both crochet .

So if you have traveling junior athletes, make sure you think about stuff like this to pack. It’s as important as underwear!

I’ll be heading out to the Junior Nationals in a couple weeks, mostly to support one of my skiers as this is his senior year in high school, Etham Styvar!

It would be nice if US production were allowed to film the XC races in Torino! Olympics has been annoying with the commercial breaks during sprint races, and cutting out feet! Ughh

We need to change the word “biathlon” to “Sniper Ski” and have the competitors in their country colors in Arctic Camo.
