Homer Winter King Salmon Tournament

We're coming up on a week since Tournament Day, and wanted to shout out this year's Youth Award, which went to 7-year-old Amelia Stengel, who landed an incredible 16.92 lb king salmon—good enough for 11th place overall! 👏

Amelia set the bar early in the day with a fish that looks almost as big as she is… and we’re pretty sure she knew right away it was a winner.

We love seeing so many young anglers out on the water—moments like this are what the tournament is all about. It’s impossible not to smile looking at these photos! 😊

Despite a several week delay, the 32nd Annual Homer Winter King Salmon Tournament was a big success! Over $130,000 is being awarded to anglers, and almost $30,000 was given away in merchandise prizes. Mark your calendars for the 33rd Annual Tournament on March 20, 2027!
