Another fun day at BalanceCore!!!

I want everyone to know that Rick Tashima is not only a great trainer, but he has become a great friend. I started training with Rick 9 months ago (thank you to Eric Yamash*ta). My reason for looking for a personal trainer was ... of course like many ... MID LIFE CRISIS. I realized that I needed to get my butt in gear and make some serious lifestyle changes. I decided that I needed to get in shape for my 40th birthday, which is coming up in August, and I was hoping that Rick would be able to help me. It has been a positive experience from day one. Rick is tough, but it's the positive encouragement that keeps you going. I have gotten to know Rick, and he is such a great person. He makes working out enjoyable, yet rewarding. The exercises that you do at the studio can also be done at home, and yes I speak from personal experience. I can honestly say my body is transforming, and I LOVE it!!!

If you are looking for someone who will get to know you as a person, and will give you that positive encouragement to reach your workout goals ... RICK IS THE MAN!!!

Yoga classes start June 17th Monday.
Yoga Instructor - Courtney Wexler (Yoga for my Homies)

Monday 7-8am: Gentle Flow
A gentle style yoga class that incorporates a ‘flow’—connecting movement and breath into a moving meditation, usually through practicing traditional sun salutations and variations on the sun salutation. Poses are linked together in a gentle sequence with much guidance via technical verbal as well as visual cues and hands-on adjustments.

Wednesday 5:00pm-6:00pm Power Yoga
A yoga practice that is more vigorous in style. Students will raise their heart rate, work up a sweat, improve stamina and increase strength. Variations and modifications given for poses so that students of all levels feel encouraged and empowered. Constant reminders given throughout class to listen to your body and to only go as far as seems appropriate for that day. Focusing on the breath, quieting the mind and smiling are more important than doing every pose in class.

Saturday 10-11am: Yoga Ohana
A gentle yoga basics class you can come to alone or as a family….bring your kids, your partner, your friends, etc. Nothing intimidating and something for everyone! Great bonding experience with whomever you do come with, but as with any yoga class, great way to bond with your own self whether you bring someone or not.
