I've been riding SurfCo's Proteck fins for over two decades, from their earliest versions, and now their performance and flex fins, which ride flawlessly. Prior to that I had so many fin cuts over the years, some cuts that got badly infected with staph, especially in Hawaii. Dr. Nancy Smiley shares her holiday surf accident that ended up in with a trip to the ER: Christmas Eve, a day off! So happy, surfing on the N. Shore at Pua'ena with my new board. Waves were kinda small--4-5 feet face max. I took off on one and got churned, flipped into the air, and collided with my board.
