I leave for Barcelona Sunday…but I’m not leaving my goals at home.

I’m heading to Barcelona for a wedding, and yes, I plan to enjoy the trip, soak in the experience, celebrate love, walk the city, make memories, and be fully present.

But I’m also traveling with intention.

My next show is November 21st — the Shawn Ray Classic — and this season of my life requires me to make different choices than the old version of me would have made.

So from now through my return on July 26th, I’m bringing you along for a daily series:

Vacation with Intention: Barcelona Edition

Because vacation does not have to mean a free-for-all.

It does not have to mean, “I’ll start over when I get home.”

It does not have to mean abandoning your goals, your routine, your body, or the version of you that you’re becoming.

And no, this doesn’t mean every woman needs to travel like a bikini competitor.

But it does mean this:

You can go on vacation and still keep promises to yourself.

You can celebrate without spiraling.

You can eat with intention without making food your entire personality (been there did that).

You can enjoy the trip without using it as an excuse to check out of your life.

That’s what I want to show you.
perfection.
Not restriction.
Not punishment.
Just intention.

My lowest weight post-show did not come from eating less forever.

It came from years of building muscle.

That is the part most women over 40 keep skipping.

They want the toned body, the smaller waist, the tighter look and the easier fat loss…

but they are still trying to get there by dieting harder, doing more cardio and protecting the same habits that keep them spinning.

And yes, I’m going to say it:
If wine is every weekend, every stress response, every girls’ night, every “I deserve this” moment…

it may be the thing standing between you and the fat loss you keep saying you want.

Not because wine is evil.

Because your goal requires honesty.

Muscle makes fat loss easier.
But muscle is built through consistency, protein, progressive strength training, recovery and fewer negotiations with the habits that keep pulling you backward.

You don’t need another diet.

You need more muscle, more ownership and fewer stories.

This is how you stop chasing your lowest weight and start building a body that actually works for you. 🤙🏾
