Waikiki Surf Club was organized in February of 1948 by a group of beach enthusiasts who wanted to compete in beach activities but could not do so because of the lack of space to store their surfboards and lack of surfing canoes and racing equipment. Waikiki Surf Club is rigged and ready for the Maui Strong Canoe Race taking place tomorrow, paddling from Hawaii Kai to Sand Island. We will have 6 crews racing 💪: Jr. Girls, Mixed Juniors, Open Women, Open Men, Mixed Open, and Mixed 45s. This is a fundraiser race for our paddling ohana at Lahaina Canoe Club Kahana Canoe Club and Napili Canoe Club ❤️
