Sport Jiu-Jitsu Canada (SJJCANF) is proud to share an early preview of a major international development in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu.

The Sport Jiu-Jitsu International Federation (SJJIF) has officially introduced the 1st SJJIF Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu World Cup, a historic national team–based competition bringing together elite athletes to represent their countries on the world stage.

This World Cup will officially kick off the world international week, taking place before the SJJIF World Championship event, which begins on September 3. The World Cup marks the first step in this global championship pathway.

As part of this initiative, Sport Jiu-Jitsu Canada (SJJCANF) will host an official World Cup qualifier at the Canadian Open.

This event represents an important step forward in international representation, federation leadership, and athlete development within Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, while officially launching the road to the SJJIF World Championship.
