White Lightning - Nixon

10u has come to an end for White Lightning 2029. And what a way to end it! These girls went 3 and 3 beating teams from Georgia, Oklahoma, and Texas in a tournament that many people would have guessed they couldn’t compete in at all. In the end they got taken out by the only other Alabama team there - the very talented 2011 Birmingham Giants who went on to place second. They played in the heat and the rain and fought hard until the last pitch was thrown. The parents and coaches are so proud of what these girls have accomplished this season on the field and are especially proud of how they have grown both on and off the field. This week has been a special one and we hope it’s one the girls will remember forever.

USSSA Road to the Beach is off to a great start for these girls! They won 2 out of 3 pool games yesterday, had a fun off day today, and they are ready to start bracket play tomorrow. Good luck girls! Be great and have fun!!

The medal and trophy are nice but the best part of today was watching this team have FUN every minute of the 14 hours we were at the park. They played a lot of softball but also threw in some volleyball and kickball games too. 🤣🤣🤣
championship game came down to the last inning. WL was the visiting team. Down 2-1. Multiple amazing hits scored 5 runs making it 6-2. The home team had their last bat and we shut them down! What a fun day!

White Lightning 2029 went to Montgomery this past weekend for a 6gg tournament with the mindset to get game reps and get better. We did that. The girls competed and literally got better every single game from start to finish. The bats finally got going, the defense was good and the pitching was great. It was definitely a great weekend to build off of. The girls got a boost of confidence which was much needed. These girls are fun to watch when they are on their game and we are so happy to see all of their hard work paying off.
