Your Memorial Day menu — made. ❤️🤍💙

Four recipes, all high protein, all low sugar, all cookout-approved. Save this post and bring something to the table this weekend that fuels you and tastes incredible.

🍗 GRILLED LEMON HERB CHICKEN
~35g protein per serving

2 lbs boneless skinless chicken breasts, pounded thin
¼ cup olive oil
3 cloves garlic, minced
Juice of 2 lemons
1 tsp dried oregano
1 tsp dried Italian seasoning
Salt & pepper to taste

Whisk olive oil, garlic, lemon juice, herbs, salt & pepper. Pour over chicken and marinate 1–2 hours. Grill over medium-high heat 3–4 min per side until internal temp hits 165°F. Rest 5 minutes before slicing.

🍉 WATERMELON FETA MINT SALAD
15 min prep, zero cooking

4 cups seedless watermelon, cubed
2 Persian or English cucumbers, diced
3 oz crumbled feta
1 tbsp fresh mint, chopped
1 tbsp fresh basil, chopped
Juice of 1 lime
1 tbsp olive oil
Salt & pepper to taste

Toss everything together in a large bowl. Add herbs right before serving to keep them fresh. Serve cold.

🥓 AIR FRYER BACON-WRAPPED ASPARAGUS
Ready in 15 min

1 lb asparagus, woody ends snapped off
8 slices bacon, regular cut
Garlic powder, salt & pepper to taste
Cooking spray

Spray asparagus lightly with oil and season. Bundle 2–3 spears together and wrap each bundle with one bacon slice, spiral from bottom to top. Air fry at 390°F for 10–12 min, flip halfway, until bacon is crispy. No air fryer? Bake at 400°F for 18–20 min.

🫐 GREEK YOGURT BERRY PARFAIT
~20g protein per serving

2 cups plain Greek yogurt
1 cup mixed berries
2 tbsp honey
¼ cup low-sugar granola
Optional: chia seeds, sliced almonds

Layer yogurt, berries, and granola in a glass or jar. Drizzle with honey. Top with chia seeds or almonds. Serve immediately or refrigerate up to 4 hours.

Starting Burn, my plan was to just do the promo and be done. I could say I tried it, decide it just was not for me, and move on without feeling like I had failed again. But two weeks in, I was completely hooked.
I have been through a lot of trauma, especially the loss of my younger children, and have been lost in survival mode. I stayed on the treadmill, lifted the same 5 to 10 pound weights, and followed the same routine over and over again. It felt safe and familiar. Just showing up and trying was enough. I stayed in that comfort zone for years with very little growth, physically or mentally.

When I started Burn, and something changed. For the first time in a long time, I left workouts feeling excited and proud of myself for doing something just for me. Over the past 8 months, the changes have been HUGE. Walking into a workout not knowing exactly what I am about to do can still feel scary, but it has also become one of the most fun and rewarding parts of my day. Every camp pushes me outside of my comfort zone, and every time I finish, I leave completely worn out, but in the best possible way. I feel stronger than I ever thought I could be physically and mentally.

I have made healthier food choices and learned that my body needs carbs to fuel itself properly, which was a huge mindset shift. Focus meetings have helped me understand that health is about balance, not punishment. Burn has pushed me to try workouts that I never believed I could do. I never imagined I would become someone who actually enjoys challenging herself this much.

Burn helped me find a version of myself that I thought I had lost. I am stronger, healthier, more confident, and genuinely happier. It gave me community, encouragement, and proof that I am capable of so much more than I believed.

What started as a place for women to work out has become something so much bigger, a community of women who push each other, encourage each other, and show up for each other every single day. 🙌
