We started April with a visit from TechBirmingham President and CEO Deon Gordon, who shared his story, the story of Birmingham's business growth culture, and the road ahead for tech-interested youth. Rotaractor Jarrod Stisher, also of TechBirmingham, shared a first-hand perspective of tech education in Birmingham schools. We look forward to an innovative partnership that helps keep tech literacy at the fore throughout Alabama.

Last week we welcomed back Chrissy Schubert and Ashley Werchanowskyj of Ady's BiG Army. Born from the frustration and faith of Chrissy's family, Ady's Army follows the model of Brookwood in Georgetown, providing meaningful work for adults with special needs. We had the privilege of enjoying their blueberry pie, which didn't stand a chance with this crew 😃. We look forward to visiting and reporting back to you soon!

We are Rotary: People of Action, United for Good. Meetings the first and third Wednesday of every month, public welcome. RSVP: [email protected].

We were honored to host Assistant Governor Bob Van Loan, Alabaster-Pelham Rotary President Diane Van Loan, District Interact Chair Jo-Ann Bradley of Homewood Rotary, and Visiting Birmingham Rotaractor Clayton Ollendieck this week. We welcomed our newest member, Vickie Harris, REALTOR at ARC Realty. The District recognized Hoover Rotary for two significant philanthropic achievements in 2024-25, and Jo-Ann presented best practices for Interact club engagement. Lindy's sports facts and humor added a fun touch.

It just keeps getting better here...you'll want to come check it out.
