MetroWest YMCA Family Outdoor Center Creating friendships that last a lifetime! The Family Outdoor Center is located on a beautiful 122 acre facility in eastern Hopkinton.

Our facilities are not your typical YMCA; we have miles of wandering hiking and walking trails, outdoor pools and adventure facilities. All catering to serving our community all year long both indoors and outdoors with a focus on Adventure programs for Youth and Family.

The change of season means we're offering Open Archery again at the MetroWest YMCA Outdoor Center! We'll meet weekly on Saturdays (except for Oct 3) starting this weekend! Our partners at the Art of Living Foundation, who help bring Hatha Yoga to the Hopkinton Outdoor Center, are hosting a special event in Boston this September.

On September 25, global humanitarian and spiritual leader Gurudev Sri Sri Ravi Shankar will lead An Evening with Gurudev: On Power, Presence & Peace.

The evening will explore finding inner strength, staying present amid the demands of everyday life, and cultivating a greater sense of peace, along with an opportunity to experience a guided meditation with Gurudev.

No prior meditation experience is needed, and the event is open to anyone interested in wellbeing, personal growth, leadership, or simply trying something new.

This summer, the MetroWest YMCA Stingrays made a splash both in and out of the pool! Led by Head Coach Becca Harrington and Assistant Coaches Lori Lavigne and Jay Toutant, our 45-member team spent the summer building skills, confidence, teamwork, and a love of competitive swimming.

It was a busy season, with practices three nights a week and meets throughout the MetroWest Summer Swim League, culminating in the League Championships on August 8. More important than times and finishes, our coaches created an environment where swimmers of different ages and abilities could challenge themselves, support their teammates, and experience the excitement of being part of a team.

Thank you to Coach Becca, and the entire coaching team for make the Stingrays season possible. Their energy, encouragement, and commitment helped make this summer one our swimmers will remember long after the pool closes for the season.

“Thank you for finding this class for us.”
“Thank you for trying new things with me.” 💙

That little exchange between a couple at Saturday’s Stained Glass Workshop stuck with us, because it captured so much of what made the morning special: trying something new, creating together, and simply enjoying each other’s company.

One attendee put it perfectly: “I love trying new things, but it’s always great when you can share the experience.”

We love when Y programs can be the backdrop for moments like these. 💙

Fall fun has arrived at the Hopkinton Outdoor Center! 🍂🏹🏓

Get outside, try something different, and build new skills with programs designed to keep you learning, growing, and having fun.

🏹 Archery: Take aim, learn to hit your target, and challenge yourself as you build focus, coordination, and confidence. With beginner, intermediate, and advanced options, there’s a level for everyone.

❤️ Babysitting Course: Ready to become the babysitter everyone can count on? Ages 11–15 can practice real-world skills, learn first aid and safety basics, and build confidence caring for kids.

🏓 Pickleball Clinics: Get on the court and give pickleball a try! Learn the basics at our introductory Learn to Play clinic, or get the family moving together with Family Pickleball.

We interviewed campers on their favorite parts of camp at the Y, and their answers were priceless! 😂

Some loved swimming, some loved time with their counselors or friends, and others just love to spend their summer outside. It was so much fun hearing what made camp special for each of them!

Week 10 at the Hopkinton Outdoor Center was the perfect way to wrap up an incredible summer! ☀️

Our campers made the most of their final week with plenty of outdoor adventures, crayfishing, fun in the pool, and, of course, time with the friends and counselors who made this summer so special. We squeezed all the fun from summer camp to the very end and couldn't be more grateful for everyone involved!

Thank you to all of our HOC campers and staff for an amazing summer. We’ll miss you and can’t wait to see you back at HOC next summer!
