💧 Did you know?
PFAS can move through groundwater and affect drinking water sources far beyond their original point of release. Understanding how these compounds travel helps communities take proactive steps toward treatment and long-term protection.
Horsham Township's leadership recognized this challenge early and took decisive action. In just 14 months during 2017, plans were developed and treatment systems were implemented to achieve the Horsham Standard, resulting in non-detect PFAS levels within our public water system.
This milestone demonstrates how strategic planning and swift action can make a meaningful difference in protecting vital resources.

As July approaches, businesses located within MIRIA Zone parcels will soon begin annual state tax reporting through the Pennsylvania Department of Revenue website. FREE of charge, MIRIA’s Compliance Consultant, Deana Zosky, can help file those reports.
The reported state taxes are then returned to MIRIA in December, helping support grant funding for eligible municipalities and municipal authorities to invest in infrastructure improvements, community projects, and long-term redevelopment efforts.
It’s a process designed to help reinvest economic activity back into the communities it supports.
