Our final tournament as Diamond Dawgs before moving to Georgia Impact Fastpitch Organization is this weekend near Birmingham for the 9U USSSA Alabama Games Going for Gold. The girls have been looking forward to this trip all season!

Diamond Dawgs 2034 are proud to join the Georgia Impact Fastpitch Organization family as Georgia Impact Dupriest 2034 for the fall season!

We’re excited to make this move alongside Francoeur 2031 as both groups take this next step with one of the premier fastpitch organizations in the country.

Georgia Impact has a strong reputation for player development, competitive softball, and helping athletes grow in the game, and we’re excited for the opportunity ahead for our players and families.

We will be a second-year 10U team looking for late 2015 and 2016 birth dates to complete our roster. We’ll be playing a very competitive schedule, including USFA, USSSA, and PGF events, and will continue practicing at Mulberry River Sports Complex in Hoschton, right off I-85.

Great weekend at the Jim Frost Memorial Spring Championships 9U tournament. The team fought hard over two days going 3-2 with the only losses being to the eventual champion (bracket game ended in a nailbiter 2-1). Next up is the USFA Southeast Georgia State Championship.

As we finish up a very competitive and successful first year 10U season playing mostly USFA events, we’re excited to close out the year with the Jim Frost Memorial Tournament, USFA Georgia State Championship, and USSSA Alabama Games Going for Gold in Birmingham.

We’re already looking ahead to our second year of 10U and planning another strong fall schedule that will include USFA and USSSA tournaments.

We will have at least one roster spot available and are open to all positions. We will consider late 2015 and 2016 players who are committed to putting in weekly work outside of team practices. Previous 10U travel experience is a plus, but not required.

This weekend we head to the Jim Frost Memorial Spring Championships 9U tournament in East Ridge, TN.

Great day at Alto Park in Rome yesterday. The girls made their first USFA gold bracket but ran into a really strong team that sent them home early. Lot of positives and growth, and we are excited for our final three tournaments coming up which will all be two day tourneys. One weekend off then we head to Chattanooga for the Jim Frost Memorial.

Second place in the silver bracket this weekend at the USFA Southeast Diamond Duel. The girls continue to play strong against older competition. Back at it next weekend!
