What a year it has been on the mat for these Lakeside Rams! The 2026 wrestling season finished with 11 Rams from our boys and girls teams taking the medal stand, and a 3rd place team finish at the 2026 Arkansas State Tournament. Our Rams had a huge weekend, with several feats met. Two rams have reached 💯 career wins (Katelyn Wallace and Kylee Herron), we have the first freshman ram wrestler to win a state title since 2019 (🥇Cline Schumann), and we now have a pair of team captains Landon Herman, and Jett Fraser, who in the same year, will be joining the ✌️2 time state champions club! Big Thank you to all the parents and supporters for all you have done for these hard working athletes this year!!! 🏆🎉💙

And just like that, we have another 100 win banner going on the wall! Big hats off to Senior Captain Landon Herman for reaching 100 career wins! A true testament to hard work, perseverance, and dedication to the sport he loves so much! Way to go Lando!!! 👏👏👏 💯 🎉

The 2026 Virginia Duals are a wrap and the Lakeside Rams have made history as the first high school team to represent Arkansas on this prestigious national stage. Our boys secured two significant dual meet victories and captured a 7th place finish in an extremely competitive Townebank American Bracket.
However, these boys are coming home with much more than a top 8 placement at a national tournament. This trip was enriched with invaluable experiences. This tournament offered them an exceptional wrestling environment, with steep challenges in the form of solid and stout competition to overcome as a team, all while building a stronger bond forged from fighting and grinding out victories on the mat for their brothers on the bench.
On behalf of the Lakeside Wrestling Coaching Staff and Ram Wresters, we’d like to send a very special thank you to everyone who helped make this trip possible!
