I am an AFAA certified Personal Trainer with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Exercise Science. I teach all levels of fitness including special populations.
Exercise and fitness are not just a job for me but a way of life. I love teaching a variety of fitness classes and working with my personal training clients. When someone comes to any of my classes, I want them to have fun, feel good about themselves and workout at their own pace. I like to motivate them to do their best for them, not me. The classes I teach are not for my own personal workout, th
e workouts are for my participants. In 1996, I received a Bachelor of Science in Education (BSE) Degree in Kinesiology with a focus on Exercise Science: Fitness Specialist, from the University of Arkansas in Fayetteville, AR. As an Aerobic and Fitness Association of America (AFAA) certified personal trainer, I use kinesiology in my daily interactions with my clients. I do not believe in a “cookie cutter” program for all participants. Everyone is different and any program I put together is specific to that client. As an AFAA certified group fitness instructor, I love working with participant’s ages 0-96 with all levels of fitness from seated participants to active adults and children. I am licensed to teach just about anything Zumba® Fitness, Zumbini™ and SilverSneakers®. I strive to do my best for my clients, my class participants, my family and myself. As a mother of two children, I have to set an example for them. I encourage my children to participate in my classes and to be active in other ways like biking, dancing around the house or just playing outside.
“Find a job you love, and you will never have to work a day in your life.” ~ Confucius (551 – 479 BC). I 100% agree, how about you?
