I’m excited to share this recent video highlighting my approach to a humane, art-based training method which began centuries ago. This method focuses on developing each horse’s natural ability, strength, elasticity and balance while encouraging a confident calm and attentive mindset. This method also focuses on the rider’s balance, subtle aids and effective communication, as well as an understanding of riding the horse from back to front with feel.
Whether your goals are for pleasure riding, competitions or simply improving your knowledge and skill, overall the foundation remains the same: to improve strength and flexibility rather than just controlling motion.
If you’d like to incorporate these principles into your program, contact me directly for information regarding clinic formats and lessons near you. I look forward to helping you on this journey.

Try it.
Centering in the saddle: the foundation of balance and connection. 🧘♀️
A centered rider moves with the horse, not against them. When you take a deep breath, lengthen your spine, and allow your weight to drop through your seat and legs, your horse feels it instantly.
This simple yet powerful shift:
• Releases tension in your lower back
• Deepens your seat and improves stability
• Encourages your horse to relax and move freely
• Helps you maintain balance through every transition
Centering isn’t just about posture, it’s about presence.
Next time you ride, take a moment to breathe deeply, feel your seatbones, and find that quiet point of balance✨

Our tools make all the difference when we are riding. The saddle, pad, cinch, headstall, bit, reins, all of it. I coach, ride, judge and compete, I understand the importance of using the right equipment. We can only be with the horse if our equipment works for both the horse and the rider.

Ride with your body first and hands last. How are you using your hands?
