Dunamis is about moving from a powerless religion to a power-filled relationship with Jesus Christ! Kathleen Shinaut is a survivor of extensive childhood trauma including incest, verbal and physical abuse. The doctors told her people who have been through what she went through did not do life, they either committed suicide or were institutionalized. But God had a different plan and delivered her f
rom the darkness of a chaotic mind when she decided to BELIEVE Him instead of just believing IN Him! After years of doctors' reports with only a fair, guarded or poor prognosis and pills, groups, self help books and secular 'transformational trainings' she discovered God's Word had plenty to say about her thoughts and her mind. She refers to this time in her life as the time of transformation. God did in three years what the world couldn't do in twenty. Since then Shinaut says it 'burns in my bones' to share the good news of the Gospel of Jesus Christ and to teach others the Word. Dunamis is the culmination of fifteen years of study including a Bachelor's in Christian Ministry and Christian Life Coach certification as well as experience as a popular bible study teacher, a Women's Pastor and Worship leader. God gave her a vision for women's ministry in her senior year at Ecclesia College and she faithfully waited until she was sure it was God's timing and His format. Seven years later, in 2014, Dunamis Transformational Training was formed. Dunamis Transformational Training offers the flagship Discovery Weekend, Vision Quest, and Leadership & Life Application courses as well as modules that can be adapted to different audiences and time frames.
