TAME THE TRACK 2027 β€” BIG NEWS! 🏁

We have a quick update regarding the 2027 season!

Earlier this year, we announced plans to join forces with the Midcup Maine Series for the upcoming season.

After further consideration, Midcup Maine has decided not to pursue their individual race series, and because of this, the partnership will not be moving forward as originally planned. We appreciate everyone involved and wish Midcup Maine the best moving ahead!

BUT… TAME THE TRACK IS HERE TO STAY! πŸ”₯

We are excited to announce that we are working toward introducing our own Tame the Track Series Points Championship for the 2027 season!

Our goal is to create an exciting three-race championship that gives racers another reason to come out, compete, and chase the title throughout the winter.

🏁 RACE #1 β€” January 2, 2027
🏁 RACE #2 β€” February 6, 2027
🏁 RACE #3 β€” March 6, 2027

πŸ† SERIES CHAMPIONSHIP AWARDS & BANQUET with LIVE MUSIC! 🎢 March 6, 2027 β€” Following the final races

And don't worry β€” the individual race-day competition isn't changing!

Daily race awards and payouts will still be awarded at each event, just as they have been. The Series Championship will be an additional opportunity for racers who want to compete for season-long points and the title of Tame the Track Series Champion.

The current plan is for racers to have the opportunity to buy into the Championship Series for $100 in designated championship classes.

All three race dates will count toward the final championship points total. Racers are not required to attend all three races, but missing a race means missing the opportunity to earn points at that event.

We are currently working on the details, including eligible championship classes, points structure, championship payouts and awards.

πŸ“£ Our full 2027 race schedule and competition classes will be announced next month!

We are excited about where Tame the Track is headed and are looking forward to making the 2027 season our biggest and best yet!

THREE RACES. ONE CHAMPIONSHIP.

We are excited to team up with Mid Maine Cup Series for the 2027 race season! 🏁

Through this collaboration, racers now have the option to be a part of a combined points championship across both series. That means more races, more seat time, and more chances to compete!

What does that mean for Tame the Track? No changes here! Same series, Same racing. Same vibe. Just more opportunities for those enthusiasts wishing to race more, connect with others, and be a part of something bigger while chasing points for season prizes.

Tame the Track Race dates in Island Falls for the 2027 season are as follows:

Saturday, January 2nd
Saturday, February 6th
Saturday, March 6th

Stay tuned for more updates later this year!

Remember the racing days we all reminisce about, about 2015-2021? Mid Maine Cup Series is trying to bring that all back.

We are looking at 18-22 classes, all either super stock or open mod all the way from 120’s to modern day trail sleds, racing a quarter mile endurance style track. Our race dates we are looking at will be January 30th, February 27th, and March 20th of 2027.

We will be racing a points championship system tied together with our good friend, Scot Walker and Tame the Track Tour Snowmobile Races. There will be 6 races for the whole series, only 5 will count..allowing you to throw out your worst finish or miss 1 race without throwing out your placing in the final championship.
At the end of the season we will have an awards ceremony crowning all of the points champions, so attendance at all TTT and Mid Maine races are crucial to your points standing.

Along with this, in memory of all of our good friend; Justin Hartford..there will be two, 20 lap races and a 16 lap race..totaling 56 laps all for Justin.

Stay with us, we’re looking to bring back those good days of racing in the state of Maine.

We would like to express our sincerest gratitude for the incredible amount of support we received this season. Without our generous sponsors, avid race participants and families, and thrill-seeking audience, we would not be able to provide the revved-up experience so many have come to enjoy! To the Tame the Track team and volunteers, your efforts are wholeheartedly appreciated. Without you, none of this would be possible.

We will begin working on our winter 2027 schedule later this spring as well as some other exciting updates!

Stay tuned!
