That is a wrap for our 2025 CX under the SuN series!
First and foremost, thank you to ALL the volunteers, sponsors, officials, the Greater Houston Cycling Foundation, and everyone that came out to CX under the SuN this year. Without your support, none of this would have been possible so, thank you all so much for bringing together Houston’s cycling community!

All the proceeds generated for this series are going back to the Greater Houston Cycling Foundation which is a 501(3)c which helps maintain and operate the Alkek Velodrome, which has been named one of USA Cycling’s 2024 Center of Excellence. The GHCF host FREE junior camps, year-round practice, and races all under the supervision of 2022 USA Cycling coach of the year Carl Jones with the aim of keeping kids active and building a sense of achievement on and off the bike. Thank you to everyone who donated each week so we could help the Houston Food Bank during Thanksgiving and Toys for Tots for Christmas! We are proud to help feed and provide toys for our local community during this holiday season!

Rainy weather unfortunately stopped us from doing our CX Clinic p/b Race Station Professional Coaching but helped us keep the course in great shape for the first race. Thanks Scott M for helping with the course design!

Week 1 p/B Sun & Ski Sports + Active Cycling Shop and Cobble & Spoke set the bar for the start of our series. Cold Beer, delicious food and some dry weather after a rainy week set the stage for our first race with over 30 kids racing in the Kids 6 and Under and Kids 6-10 races, 24 racers in the C race, 23 in the B race and 17 in the A race!

Week 2 p/B Race Ready Repair Bike Shop + Sugar Cycles, Inc. and Karbach Brewing kept the party going for our second event. The Rogers brought the party down from the North side of town and brought the gravel crew down from cross! David from SRAM as well as Active Cycling came out to support as we had 33 kids racing in the Kids 6 and Under and Kids 6-10 races, 28 racers in the C race, 36 in the B race and 11 in the A race!

Week 3 p/B Shama Cycles + Cool Cat Cycles and Cobble & Spoke was a proper sendoff to end the series! Kayta, Mallory, and Philip brought out some amazing raffle prizes! Active Cycling came out to support as well! The HiVisPro gang from Austin came down and brought back some familiar faces to give our locals some competition. We saw 38 kids racing in Kids 6 and Under and Kids 6-10 races, 18 participants in the C race, 34 in the B race and 25 in the A race!
