Superheroes don’t always wear capes...

Blue Anchor Baseball is about one team, one goal. It’s about sacrificing yourself, your statistics, your “hero” status, for the greater good of the team. At Blue Anchor Baseball, superheroes are not the ones that hit home runs or throw no hitters, our superheros are the ones that sacrifice for the team, laying a bunt down or hit that ground ball or sac fly to get the run in. Blue Anchor superheros don’t wear capes, we wear baby blue and navy blue, and we already bring our best on Championship Sundays!

This weekend, teamwork was on display at the Perfect Game Astrofest World Series. Whether it was our 8am 10-run rule win or our 8 inning Texas shootout victory, our wins all do not look the same, but the boys found a way to get it done as a team. We ran out of gas Sunday night after playing baseball for over 12 hours, but the boys played some great baseball and finished in 2nd place and I couldn’t be more proud of this group.

Blue Anchor baseball is about the lessons, the learning, the growth and development, not about the rings and wins.

Sure we compete and want to win, but winning for Blue Anchor baseball is different, it’s winning the long game, not the just the game today.
