At the Huey P. Newton Gun Club, we believe community programs are essential because they allow us to put our purpose into practice. Through these programs, we show that our mission is about more than just visibility – it’s about serving the community. We build trust, create relationships, and ensure that our organization is responsive to the community’s needs. By focusing on education, preparedness training, youth mentorship, and outreach, we strengthen the community from within and prevent problems before they arise. Most importantly, community programs make empowerment a reality. When families are informed, protection is more effective. When people feel supported, advocacy is more meaningful. And when the next generation is being developed, leadership is more sustainable. Community programs keep our focus on uplifting, equipping, and strengthening the community.
