‘MySwimEdge’ Swimming Sensor is a new and unique product.

It is essentially a swimming coach that can always swim with a user and measure details of user’s swimming technique.

People ask me how long it takes to conduct the analysis, as we don't have an App yet and we need to upload the files from the sensor to the server.

The answer is - it takes just a few minutes even now.

The picture shows the timing of the files created. PDF files are our automatically generated reports for each lap. CSV files are the files that we downloaded from the sensor using our own program and uploaded to the server.

4 laps. 25 minutes. Each lap tests the impact of breathing on the swimming technique. I do it for myself every once in a while. I need to improve the effeciency of my left arm strokes, and the kicks.

The analysis of two laps we can do in 10 minutes. It is actually takes more time to discuss the results with the coach and the swimmer as there is a lot of useful information to discuss.

💡Let's continue talking about science behind MySwimEdge

This is a graph of speed changes during a 50-meter lap by a professional swimmer, she is an Olympic medalist.

📈Do you see that all strokes are very similar?

Especially when you compare the strokes to the strokes of an amateur swimmer.

💡Let's talk a bit about science behind MySwimEdge

This is a graph of the SPEED CHANGES OVER TIME during a 25 meter lap by an amateur swimmer (total time is just over 22 seconds).

You can see how speed was changing DURING EACH STROKE. For a swimmer and for a coach there is a ton of information that they were not able to get before.

And this is just a small example the MySwimEdge of what MySwimEdge can measure.

💥MySwimEdge will take part at icSPORTS 2020 in Budapest

What a great news! The scientific paper co-authored by MySwimEdge team member was accepted by the 8th international Conference on Sport Sciences Research and Technology Support.

This conference intends to be a meeting point for both academics, sport professionals and practitioners to exchange ideas and develop synergies. Most human activities, including sports, are becoming more and more technological. Engineering in general and Information Technology in particular are important in the support for many activities directly or indirectly related to sport sciences, including improvement of physical activities, sports medicine, biotechnology and nutrition, sports management, and all other application areas in sports.

"We are happy to inform that the paper submitted to icSPORTS 2020 with number 27, entitled “Freestyle swimming analysis of symmetry and velocities using a MEMS based IMU: Introducing a symmetry score”, has been accepted as a Full Paper, to be presented online from November 5 to 6, 2020.
All papers accepted to icSPORTS 2020 were peer reviewed by at least two experts from the international program committee, in a double-blind review process."

🏊Let’s talk about professionals

❔Do you know that some professionals swim asymmetrically some have very symmetrical strokes?

Ⓜ️MySwimEdge can find the right balance for professionals. Because each stroke is the right balance between timing of each stroke, speed changes DURING each stroke, length of each stroke.

✅With a lot of data a professional and their coaches are so much better equipped to find the most effective technique.

💧Better swimming technique improves your swimming time

🔹It might be whole seconds for amateur swimmers or hundreds of a second for professional swimmers. But it all matters a lot for everyone.

📌How MySwimEdge does it?

🔹Let’s start with less experienced swimmers. By measuring and comparing all strokes one can see the best strokes and not as good strokes.

🔹MySwimEdge will teach how to make all strokes as good as you good ones.

🔹But this is just the beginning. We will talk about symmetry and consistency later. But thanks to MySwimEdge we can measure both symmetry and consistency and work on their improvement.
