After a few days of reflection and prayer, I have decided to take a step back and close Level Up through 2026. It wasn’t a decision that was made lightly, but it is what’s best for myself, my partners, and my family.

Don’t think we’re gone though! We just have bigger goals we want to accomplish other than lure making.

I submitted for non-profit status for Casting Out Cancer, and once that is finalized, it will open the doors to many cool things! I have put together a team to help coordinate instead of it being tested solely on my shoulders. With this comes another major announcement!

Casting Out Cancer will be holding 4 total tournaments in 2026

This will provide more opportunities to win, more fun to be had, and most importantly, more money going to support childhood cancer organizations.

I will be able to provide more insight further into the future, but all of us on the Casting Out Cancer team are very excited!

Words cannot express how blessed I am to be in this position. In 2023 my cancer diagnosis shook my whole life up. I put every ounce of faith in God to help me through it. And that he did. He provided great friends, a community that I didn’t know we had in fishing, and opportunities to use what I was going through for good. 6 months of chemo was rough, but I spent plenty of time watching and listening to his podcast. I found out about P.U.N.T. through him, and knew then and there I wanted to do something to help out.

EDIT: an angler brought up a fish that was missing identifier code. My fault on that, it slipped through towards end of day. This changed the 3rd place winner. All is taken care of now and no hard feelings from anybody. Couldn’t ask for better anglers❤️
