Wheatley entered their tilt with Furr on Friday with 11 consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with 12. They took their contest with ease, bagging an 84-4 win over the Brahmans. The matchup was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 53-0.
Wheatley's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Symone Johnson, who almost dropped a double-double with 19 points and nine steals. Those 19 points gave Johnson a new career-high. Caria Thomas was another key player, going 8-for-13 to rack up 20 points in addition to six assists and four steals.
Wheatley was working as a unit and finished the game with 28 assists. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their assist total in three consecutive games.
Wheatley's victory bumped their record up to 20-2. As for Furr, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-8.
We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Wheatley is set to take on their familiar foe Worthing at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Furr will challenge rival Kashmere at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday.

Wheatley entered their tilt with Washington on Wednesday with ten consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with 11. They took their contest with ease, bagging a 78-7 victory over the Eagles. 78 seems to be a good number for the Wildcats as the squad scooped up a win with the same number of points in their previous game.
Wheatley got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Caria Thomas out in front who went 9-for-18 on her way to 18 points in addition to eight assists and four steals. Thomas is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in each of the last ten games she's played. Jamie Solomon was another key player, shooting 47% from the field to rack up 19 points along with six assists and four steals.
Wheatley's win bumped their record up to 19-2. As for Washington, they have been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-10 record this season.

Wheatley had already won nine in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 49.3 points) and they went ahead and made it ten on Friday. They took their game with ease, bagging a 78-16 win over the Northside Panthers. The final result isn't all that surprising considering the Wildcats' considerable advantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 278th, while the Panthers are ranked 1232nd).
Wheatley's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Jamie Solomon, who went 12-for-27 to rack up 31 points and three steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Symone Johnson, who dropped a double-double with 18 points and ten boards.
Wheatley smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 25 offensive rebounds. That's the most offensive boards they've posted since back in November of 2025.
Wheatley's win bumped their record up to 18-2. As for Northside, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-7.

It was a proper cat-fight when Wheatley faced off against Yates on Tuesday. The Wildcats snuck past the Lions with a 69-65 victory. The win continues a trend for the Wildcats in their matchups with the Lions: they've now won four in a row.

Wheatley's record is now 17-2. As for Yates, the loss snapped their winning streak at 14 games and leaves them with a 18-5 record.
Wheatley and Yates should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Texas Rankings. The Wildcats (ranked 299th) will meet Northside (ranked 1228th) at 1:45 p.m. on Saturday. Meanwhile, Yates will take on Kashmere at 7:15 p.m. on Monday with a big rank advantage (365 vs. 1470).
It is wild that God don't play behind his children. You (JY) tried to ruin the program and the (clear throat) and still lost, twice. You had a lead the entire game and lost to 7 players. We just going to leave that right there.
