the fuji’s first day at work 🥰🚀
this camera has definitely challenged me as a photographer! it’s such an intricate device with unique capabilities. even with years of experience shooting on Canon & Sony, it was a TASK to learn the physical dials and get comfortable adjusting the settings. even installing the recipes can be confusing the first couple times around.
this was my first time shooting indoor low-light with the Fuji, whereas I’ve gotten very comfortable using it for travel and shooting outdoors. I was impressed with the image stabilization for lowlight stills. going from room to room on media day where the sets and lighting are so different, i had a tonnn of practice with those physical dials 😭 if you have tried adjusting settings on a Fujifilm, then you KNOW it’s not a quick process
I decided to bring the camera along for some BTS while working on a separate video project, and i’m so happy with the look of the photos! what I love most about the camera is the film look and aesthetic it provides without heavy editing in post or even the burden of dealing with physical film. I’ve tried a lot of different recipes, but this one has been the most consistent for me in terms of color while shooting in different types of places/settings.
recipe on the last slide!!
even though the camera is limited in its nature with a fixed lens, it’s definitely one of my favorite devices I own ❤️ it’s now my go-to to bring everywhere with me (replacing my Canon G7x)
**I would NOT consider this a beginner camera!!
