T H I C C girl season is officially over 😎

I’ve been working with for 38 weeks now to get myself ready for competition prep.

We’ve been able to get my food insanely high which ultimately was the goal, get me in a solid position to begin an extreme fat loss phase.

SWIPE ⬅️⬅️ to see the starting point (kinda this was actually my 2nd check-in with him) to today.

Starting macros on 8/14/21 were 295g carbs, 55g fat, 130g protein on training days. Cardio 2x/weekly LISS 20 mins.

Currently ending at 420g carbs, 70g fat, and 142g protein. Cardio 3x/weekly LISS 20 mins.

I will be posting weekly updates. You’ll see how my physique will change week to week, how my food changes, and how much cardio I’m doing. I’m not afraid on sharing the details.

It’s been FIVE years since I’ve stepped on stage. I’m nervous as f**k, but more than anything I’m pretty f**king excited.

I will be competing in the WBFF federation. Planned show date is Oct 8th in Dallas.

Why training C H E S T is important as a female 💁🏻‍♀️

As a human being, it's important that we add resistance training to ALL muscle groups for overall health, performance, and mobility.

As a bodybuilder, physique balance and symmetry is crucial.

As a female, chest may not be on the top of the list of hypertrophy BUT structural imbalances can affect other body parts.

If my chest is weak or completely neglected, then it could impede optimal growth of my back and shoulders which is needed for developing a small waist illusion.

On top of that, the muscles could get tighter which will pull my upper back into a more rounded position. No one wants to have hunch back. 🙅🏻‍♀️

Add 1 pressing movement and 1 fly movement into your workout regimen. Even though your goal may not be to get a big pec split, it's still extremely imporant you add them in at minimum once per week.

✨Understand your W H Y✨

Every dream, every goal must have a purpose behind it. Defining what your reason to start is super important because you'll have more BAD days then good days. Your WHY is what will hold you accountable to keep showing up.

I used to be a cardio bunny, mainly because I had NO idea how to lift weights, so going straight to a cardio machine was easiest. I figured if I just burned 1000 calories each workout, it was a good workout.

It wasn't until I found fitness pros here on instagram is when my mindset started to shift. Watching them lift weights inspired me to do the same. I still had no idea what I was doing, but I just did it. Kinda had that fake it til you make it attitude.

Don't get me wrong, I still very much had that gym-timidation. There were NUMEROUS times when I saw the weight room busy and I was like noooooope cardio it is! You live and learn. Confidence is built over time.

Biggest take away is YOU DESERVE TO BE THERE TOO! Don't let anyone scare you away.

✨All I wanted was A B S✨

I did excessive cardio every single day. I made sure to hit 1,000 calories burned on my Polar FT7 watch.

And I never got them.

I was severely under eating and doing almost zero weight lifting. I did zero sports growing up so the whole ""exercising"" concept was brand new to me.

My biggest regret is not hiring a trainer immediately. A LOT of wasted years in the beginning trying to figure everything out myself both food and training wise.

➡️My BIGGEST piece of advice:
Hire a coach to guide you on the right path. You won't have to guess or wonder if what you're doing is right. If they know what they're doing and you stick to the plan 100% you WILL see results within the first 12 weeks.

I promise you, it will be one of the best decisions of your life.

We go through situations where it feels like your insides are tearing apart, your throat has that lump, your eyes burn.

So, don’t let it rip life away from you. Don’t let it dim your light. Don’t let it bring you down for too long.

🔹Calories, macros, nutrition… it’s all just so freaking confusing.🔹

Especially when all the media on tv is telling you to eat low carb, low fat diets and then everyone on Instagram is saying you should be intuitive eating and blah blah BLAH.

I get it. It’s all super overwhelming and I was totally there when I first started getting into the gym. I remember staying away from oils, saturated fat, avoiding all white carbs like white rice, white bread, white potatoes like the Black Plague and that’s not the end of it! The list could go on and on..

Before you stop reading because your anxiety is increasing just by hearing all the confusing nonsense in this world is that nutrition can be made SIMPLE.
-
Yaaaasss, you totally read that right. You NEED fats, you NEED carbs, you NEED protein. And, hello, you ARE unique so someone else’s diet program will NOT work for you.
-
Just what if you didn’t have to think about what you were going to eat next? What if you just could go about your day and worry about things that actually mattered rather than staying fixated on where your meal is going to come from next!

Life would be so much more enjoyable!!

The one who is just starting out.

Don't.

Life is meant to be a struggle. Life is meant to be hurtful/painful.

That before picture is TWO YEARS into my fitness journey. TWO YEARS. My genetics are against me. It takes me twice as long to put on muscle. I also had a s**t diet because I had no idea what I was doing and I was inconsistent with the gym.

No one is perfect.
