Introducing Summit Saturday!

Starting this Saturday May 9th every Saturday will be Summit Saturday for Ascend Athletes.

These workouts will be challenging workouts all athletes take on each week to push each other and get some friendly competition each week.

Whether you’re an Ascend Athlete or not give this one a crack and tag someone you want to throw down against on Summit Saturday’s! 😤

At Ascend Athlete we believe in principles not a particular set of methods.

We do not shy away and shun the last 50 years of sport performance research and principles of training that have developed highly physically capable athletes in different sports.

We use these principles to help inform and guide the training we build for our athletes.

At the same time we EMBRACE the CrossFit methodology. Couplets, triplets, varied but not random.

By using doing so we have the full arsenal of performance tools and methods at our disposal to design your training so there is no stone left unturned and you are prepared for anything.

Optimization in training is a noble pursuit as long as it’s kept in check. Like my mother says, ā€œGood intentions pave the way to hell.ā€

A little dramatic for this scenario but the message is sound.

Sport requires performing when things aren’t optimal. If you never expose yourself or your athletes to the suboptimal they will find themselves unprepared in the critical moment.
