Saturday, August 15, HMP The Oval Track is celebrating the people who make every race night possible—our incredible fans! Join us for an action-packed evening presented by Three 17 Awards, featuring eight classes of racing, a night full of giveaways, driver meet-and-greets, Victory Lane photos, and plenty of excitement from the first green flag to the final checkered flag.

The night will also feature the Terry Barden Trophy Dash for Eco Stocks, Legends, and Legacy drivers. The Eco Stock dash is open to any driver who has never won a heat or feature race, while the Legends and Legacy dash will feature the bottom six drivers in points. It is a special opportunity for competitors to battle for a trophy and their own moment in the spotlight.

Crown Stocks, HMP Stock Cars, Legends, Pro Trucks, Eco Stocks, Legacy, Pro Modifieds, and Bandoleros.

It was the highest of highs and the lowest of lows for RedRock Racing in the June 27, 2026 Eco Stock feature. Mike Mecum #74 and Soren Rasmussen #72 started on the front row, but Soren's night came to a violent end when his right rear hub failed, sending the #72 airborne (even ejecting his battery into turn 3). Meanwhile, Mike kept his foot in it, fought off the #88 and the #56, and drove the #74 straight to Victory Lane with another P1 finish! Special thanks to our partners:

For most race teams, race day starts around 1–2 PM and involves a lot more than just showing up and driving. There's unloading, tire changing, tech inspection, last-minute adjustments, and plenty of time spent in the pits getting everything ready In the Houston heat in June.

One thing many people may not realize is how important it is to manage hydration and energy throughout the day. Spending hours in the Houston heat can be taxing, and the goal is to stay sharp and avoid being fried before it's time to get behind the wheel. I find that managing your energy during the day is a major factor in your success in the feature race. Being sharp is key.

Check out these stats from my watch: 184 heart rate was during the feature race itself. 8 miles walked that day. 2,700 Calories burned.

RedRock Racing stood on the top two steps of the podium once again this weekend, capturing P1 and P2 with Soren Rasmussen and Mike Mecum swapping positions from the previous race. Congratulations to Soren Rasmussen in the #72, who put on a commanding performance, leading every lap from green flag to checkered flag in dominant fashion. Another outstanding night for the entire RedRock family, including Naam Khao Thai Kitchen & Bar, Telge Roofing, Journey's Hair Studio and Spa Jaeger, Deluxe Therapeutic massage & Spa - Magnolia

May 2, 2026 at the HMP Oval Track.

#72 Soren Rasmussen qualified P1. He started pole and on a restart after a caution, he was charged with jumpin' the start and race control pushed him to the back of the field. He fought hard and charged all the way back to the front. Technical issue with the in-car cam, but here it is! Hard-charger award for the #72.
