Congratulations to Eccles All-Stars on their performance in Barbados

Eccles All-Stars may have missed out on the final of the A&A Champion of Champions T20 in Barbados, but the Guyanese outfit left an indelible mark on the tournament, proving that the quality of tapeball talent in Guyana remains world-class.

The inaugural Kares One Guyana T10 champions and 2025 runners-up saw their campaign end in heartbreaking fashion at Weymouth on Thursday evening.

In a high-stakes Qualifier Two, they fell just five runs short against the Belair Stars, failing to chase down a target in a game that swung until the final delivery.

The playoff exit belies what was otherwise a clinical run through the league phase.

Eccles finished as the competition’s pace-setters, dropping only one game in six matches to finish perched at the top of the table.

Jonte Thomas – eight innings, 274 runs at an average of 34.25 and strike rate of 207.58 – was the leading runs-scorer for their team, followed by Andrew Lim – 273 runs at an average of 45.50 and strike rate of 163.47.

Troy Gonsalves – 14 wickets at 10.57 and an economy rate of 6.04 - was the leading wicket taker for Eccles.

The team will now shift their focus back to home soil, looking to make amends and reclaim their throne when the fourth season of the Kares One Guyana T10 gets underway this August.
