Another wonderful opportunity to train with Mr. Michael Mantz. Sometimes we can stumble around in the dark for years. Then, someone far ahead of you lights the torch and points the way.
Thank You!

Another opportunity to practice with Mr. Michael Mantz, author of the book, "Introduction to Karate-Do", and a 4th Dan in Shotokan Karate. Spending time with someone who has dedicated over 40 years to the study of Karate and who continues to be a humble student of the art brings a sense of gratitude in all of us. Thank you for sharing with us your insights and experience!

When practicing kihon waza or basics, move with the count. In other words, when you hear "Ichi", move with the sound "I". Train this way and you will be able to move when your opponent moves.
