Tommy Tokoph took down the 45-player open 9-ball division in overtime, and Danny Bennett busted the 55-player amateur 9-ball division, undefeated! SA’s Gabe Martinez fell to Tokoph, and Ray Porter was ousted by Bennett, both finishing runner-up. There were some incredible finishes, with 80-year old Ray Porter, “Energizer Bunny”, taking 2nd in the am div, and 3rd in the op div, and 19-year old Issac Montez, capturing 3rd in the am div, having competed in only three tournaments, in his fledgling career! This was also Isaac’s first time to place! 👏 Newcomer, Roland Stock, aka “Mr. Alaska”, (yes, we gave him a nickname) just moved to Texas from Alaska, and claimed 4th place in both divisions! You may recognize his last name. His father was Bill Stock, longtime BCA referree. Welcome to Texas, Roland! We’d also like to note, that Jay Russell, after playing a number of events in the last year, has achieved his best finish to date, 5th-6th! We want to thank Big Tyme Billiards for hosting another stellar event! We deeply appreciate the support of our sponsors, title sponsor Poison Cues, Predator Cues, Rack IQ, Team Straightpool Eye, and Outsville Inc. Our next stop will feature a 64-player, open tournament, and will be held at Damifino in Angleton, May 16th-17th.
