There’s a moment on every hunt that has nothing to do with the spot & stalk.

In a remote area of our ranch, we stop for lunch — but not just any lunch. This is the “asado”, Argentina’s most traditional way of cooking: meat slow-grilled over open wood fires, the way it’s been done here for generations. It’s less about the food itself and more about what happens around it.

Hunters who arrived as strangers, from all over the world, end up sharing stories like best buddies do. Nobody’s in a rush. The fire does its thing slowly, and so does the day.

It’s easy to forget, out on the mountain, that some of the best parts of a hunt happen away from the rifle or bow.

This is one of them.

Another great DSC Summer Expo in the books!
We just wrapped up our second year at the DSC Summer Expo & Foundation Gala, held July 23–26 at the Ga***rd Texan Resort in Grapevine, TX — and the energy on the floor this year was next level!

Four days of great reconnections: catching up with longtime clients, meeting hunters who stopped by to talk about Red Stag & Patagonia, giving advice on planning their next hunt, and locking in several bookings right there on the spot. Nothing beats sitting down face to face with people who share this same passion for the outdoors.

It was first class and seamless from the day I booked till I was dropped off at the airport after a very successful hunt for both my son and me. The accommodations were amazing with daily room cleanings and the daily meals prepared by the chef were very delightful. The hunt was nothing but SPECTACULAR as we saw a very wide range of different red stags that were all breathtaking. Our guide was THE BEST! Not only did he put my son and I on the stags we had dreamt of, but he was also very accommodating outside of the hunt, taking us fishing and to the local town of Bariloche when we were seeking a break from chasing beautiful stags.
