These yummy Almond Butter Granola Energy Bars are full of protein and healthy fats. Toss in your favorite optional additions to make it your favorite snack.
Ingredients
• 1 cup packed pitted medjool dates
• 1/4 cup honey
• 1/4 cup almond butter
• 1 1/2 cups rolled oats
• Chocolate chips, dried fruit, banana chips, (optional additions)
Instructions
• Process dates in a food processor until small bits remain (about 1 minute). It should form a dough like consistency.
• Place oats and dates in a large mixing bowl and set aside.
• Warm honey and peanut butter in a small saucepan over low heat. Stir and pour over oat mixture and then mix, breaking up the dates to disperse throughout.�
• Once thoroughly mixed, transfer to an 8×8-inch baking dish or other small pan lined with plastic wrap or parchment paper so they lift out easily.
• Press down firmly until uniformly flattened
• Cover with parchment or plastic wrap, and let firm up in fridge or freezer for 15-20 minutes.
Remove bars from pan and chop into even bars. Store in an airtight container for up to a few days.

We’re working hard to prepare your club to reopen next week. We have new processes and hours in place. Check Facebook, Instagram and emails for further announcements.
Expected Club Opening Schedule:
• Kingwood, Humble, Magnolia, Conroe, & The Woodlands: May 18th at 5am
• Cypress Landing: TBD - Currently undergoing some additional updates
• Cypress Landing Members are welcome to enjoy any other open Gold's Gym Houston location until further notice
Initial Club Hours of Operation:
• Monday – Friday: 5 AM – 9 PM
• Saturday: 8 AM – 3 PM
• Sunday: Closed Till Further Notice
• Kids Club: Opening Date TBA
Personal Training services resume when we open on the 18th. Pre-Registration required.
Group Fitness Classes will resume within a week of opening but will initially be limited to 20 people per class with a modified schedule that includes 30-45 minute breaks for wipe down and sanitizing. Pre-Registration will be required. Details will be sent by email the week of the 18th.
Locker Rooms and Showers will be closed off until further notice for your safety. Restrooms will be open for your convenience.

All these beautiful spring days and evenings are perfect for grilling and dining outside. Grilled veggie kabobs are a simple and healthy main or side dish. If you can’t find a veggie in the store, substitute it with one your favs!
Grilled Vegetable Kabobs
5 ears fresh corn
3 zucchini
1 large red bell pepper
1 large red onion
8 oz. small brussels sprouts
8 oz. mushrooms
1/2 cup salted butter (1 stick), melted
12 metal skewers
Instructions:
Preheat the grill to medium-low heat around 325 degrees. Shuck the corn and cut into 2-inch rounds. Cut the zucchini, bell pepper and onion in 1-inch pieces. Trim the brussels sprouts. Work the veggies onto the metal skewers in a random pattern. Grill for 15 minutes. Every 5 minutes, brush with melted butter and turn. Remove from skewers, brush with butter and enjoy!!

Happy ! Try these easy, healthy versions perfect for your at-home celebrations!
Skinny Margarita recipe:
Ingredients
1 1/2 ounces silver tequila — about 3 tablespoons
Juice of 1 large
1 1/2 tablespoons freshly squeezed orange juice
1 teaspoon light agave nectar
Ice
Instructions
Fill a small cocktail shaker with additional ice. Add the tequila, lime juice, orange juice, and agave. Tightly close and shake vigorously for at least 30 seconds (it's longer than you think). Strain into a glass full of ice.
Skinny Guacamole Recipe
Ingredients
3 large ripe avocados
1/2 cup greek yogurt
1/4 teaspoon salt (plus more as needed)
1/4 cup red onion, finely chopped
1 cup cherry tomatoes, cut in quarters
1 jalapeño, finely diced
juice of 1 lime
Instructions
In a medium bowl, mash avocados with a fork until chunky consistency is reached (the yogurt will help smooth things out). Then, add in yogurt and salt stir until well combined. Add in onion, tomatoes, jalapeno and lime juice.

Superfood Saturday! These delicious Quinoa Turkey Meatballs are great on their own or over zucchini noodles. Enjoy!
Quinoa Turkey Meatballs
Ingredients:
• 1 pound 93% fat free ground turkey
• 1 cup cooked quinoa
• 1/2 yellow onion diced
• 4 cloves garlic
• 1 cup chopped spinach
• 1 egg whisked
• 2 tbsp low sodium soy sauce
• 1 tsp dried oregano
• 1 tsp salt
• 1 tsp pepper
Instructions:
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. In a large bowl, combine all ingredients and mix. Roll into 12 balls and place on a greased baking sheet. Bake for 25-30 minutes.
