The alpha doesn't have to shout. The alpha knows. 🔥

I've been thinking about you lately—about how much you give, how hard you push, how often you force yourself to show up even when your body is asking for something gentler.

Here's what I need you to understand: soft power isn't weakness. It's knowing yourself so deeply that you can feel the difference between flow and force. It's choosing to do less when you're gripping, and allowing yourself to do more when you're already in the current.

You don't have to prove anything in your practice. You don't have to earn your place on the mat. You're already the alpha of your own experience—you just have to stop shouting over yourself long enough to remember.

So today, if you're forcing, do less. If you're flowing, ride that wave. Trust what you know.

That's soft power. That's you. 🌙

There's a moment in every frog pose where your body has to decide: Do I trust this? Am I safe enough to open here?

Juju knows that moment intimately. That's why he doesn't rush you. Instead, he shows you how to fold a blanket into what he lovingly calls a "cinnamon roll"—because even your knees deserve something sweet, something that says you're allowed to be held.

He's poolside, the light is gentle, and his voice is steady as he walks you through stacking blocks, positioning the bolster just above your hips, letting your knees go wide. The target? Your inner thighs, your groin—places that grip tension like a fist and forget how to let go.

This isn't about how deep you can go. It's about how supported you can feel while your body does the tender work of releasing what it's carried.

Juju is one of our teachers at Ashe Yoga Collective, and this is the kind of practice waiting for you inside our membership: unhurried, prop-supported, designed for bodies that need rest as much as movement.

I remember the first time someone told me to "just breathe and hold" in a Yin class. My body was screaming to move. My chest felt tight. Holding still didn't feel healing—it felt like being stuck.

That's when I started asking different questions. What if long holds aren't restorative for everyone? What if some bodies need permission to move, not instructions to be still?

Trauma-sensitive Yin isn't about doing Yin differently. It's about understanding that our nervous systems carry stories. For some of us, being asked to hold a shape for five minutes reactivates the very tension we came to release. It can feel like being trapped instead of being held.

So we teach Yin with a different lens. We focus on how your body feels internally, not how it looks externally. We put emotional and physical safety before depth or intensity. We give you permission to shift, to adjust, to leave a pose early if that's what your body is asking for.

Because here's the truth: choice is healing. When you get to decide what feels safe, what feels nourishing, what your body actually needs, you start rebuilding trust with yourself. And that trust? That's the deeper practice.

This is the foundation of our 2026 Yin Yoga Training. We teach you how to hold space for bodies that need agency, not instructions. Bodies that deserve to come home to themselves, not perform for anyone else.

If this lands, we're holding space for you. Link in bio. 🖤

What if the tension your students carry isn't something they can simply stretch away?

We've been taught that deeper stretches release deeper tension. But the body doesn't always work that way. Sometimes what's held in the fascia, in the connective tissue, in the places where trauma lives—that needs a different kind of attention.

That's what Yin Therapeutics offers.

This method blends traditional Yin Yoga with myofascial release and functional anatomy to work with the body's actual structure. Instead of forcing flexibility, we're helping tissue release, hydrate, and restore. We're meeting the body where it is and giving it what it actually needs.

If you're a yoga teacher who wants to offer more than relaxation—if you want to guide students toward real, embodied healing—this training will deepen your practice and your teaching in ways that matter.

Our live Yin Yoga Advanced Concepts Training runs September 17–27, 2026. You'll learn how to apply therapeutic principles in your classes, understand fascia and connective tissue on a functional level, and hold space for the kind of release that changes how people live in their bodies. 🌙

This is for teachers ready to go deeper.

Two pathways into the subtler practices. Both designed for every body.

Our Yin Yoga Trainings are now open—40 hours livestream, built for teachers and practitioners who know that slowing down is its own form of resistance.

🌙 Functional Yin & the Subtle Body (July 2026): Learn to teach Yin that meets bodies where they are—props as tools, not apologies. We'll explore fascia, energy systems, and how to guide students toward the effects of poses rather than the Instagram-perfect shapes.

✨ Advanced Yin Concepts (September 2026): Deepen your understanding of meridians, chakras, and the philosophical roots of this practice. For teachers ready to hold space with more nuance and cultural awareness.

Both trainings center body diversity, trauma-informed cuing, and honoring yoga's South Asian lineage. You'll leave with skills to create the kind of inclusive spaces we all deserve.

Your practice, your way. Your teaching, your integrity.

Registration is open—link in bio. Come as you are.

How do you hold fire without burning out?

Throwing it back to this powerful class from Black History Month that feels even more needed now in Aries season. asked a question the world doesn't always let Black folks ask: What if taking up space could be gentle? What if resilience didn't mean performing strength, but quietly insisting—I am?

Aries brings activation, urgency, the kind of fire that can fuel or exhaust. Yin meets that energy with slowness, building grounded strength from the inside out. This isn't about pushing through. It's about honoring the legacy of Black communities who've stood firmly in their identity even when the world resisted—and bringing that same fierce gentleness to your own body.

Your practice intention: I am allowed to be here. I am allowed to take up space—gently, steadily. 🔥✨

Move in ways that support your body, your nervous system, your choices. This is your practice. Your terms. Your agency.

🌙 blends astrology + trauma-informed practice to create space for exactly this kind of transformation. Join us for more classes like this. Link in bio.

When you hold a Yin pose for three, four, five minutes, your body isn't just stretching. You're working the meridians—those energy pathways connected to your organs that hold emotion, memory, and vitality.

This is why you might feel stuck energy release during a hip hold. Why tears come up in child's pose. Why frustration shifts when you target the liver meridian. You're not imagining it. You're accessing fascia, the bridge between your physical body and energetic experience.

Yin yoga regulates energy—not just flexibility. The long holds give you deeper access to what's been stored. The stillness is where the magic happens.

If you've been drawn to this work and want to understand the why behind the practice, our 2026 Yin Yoga Training is open. We go deep into meridian theory, fascia release, and trauma-informed sequencing that honors what bodies carry.

This isn't yoga teacher training that asks you to perform. It's education rooted in body agency, energetic literacy, and teaching people exactly as they are.
