💃5 things dance teaches you that show up LATER in life!
1. How to speak in front of people. Performing teaches dancers to walk into a room, hold attention, communicate with their body, and keep going even when everyone is watching. That skill doesn’t disappear when the stage does—it can show up in a classroom, an interview, a meeting, or a presentation.
2. How to take corrections. Dancers get used to hearing, “Try it this way,” making an adjustment, and trying again. Learning not to take corrections personally is a skill that can take you a LONG way in life.
3. How to know where your body is. Dance develops bodily awareness, balance, coordination, and spatial awareness. As we get older, staying connected to how our bodies move can become increasingly important for maintaining physical independence and navigating the world around us.
4. How to think while you’re moving. Remembering choreography, listening for changes, adjusting to other dancers, and making decisions in real time means your brain and body are constantly working together. Dance is physical—but it is also a mental workout.
5. How to keep learning. There is always another style, another combination, another skill to work toward. Dance teaches us that being a beginner isn’t something to outgrow.
Maybe that’s one of the most valuable things about dance.
You don’t just learn how to dance. You learn things you can carry with you for the rest of your life.

Our Ballet Mistress Simona Di Nardo is so excited to present this amazing dancer/athlete workshop this Saturday the 29th from 2-3:30pm!
Explore the science and practice of a dynamic warm-up, using strength and conditioning principles to teach how to progressively prepare the body for physical activity and performance that helps reduce the risk of injury.
This workshop is open to participants for only $30 as well as observers for only $15 for anyone interested in this research and education.

A lot of parents ask us what a 2 to 4 year old is really going to get out of a dance class. And honestly, it’s a fair question.
They’re coming in to experience something new. They’re learning how to be part of a class. They’re learning to listen to a teacher, follow directions, take turns, move their bodies, and interact with other children.
But there’s something else that happens, too.
They start realizing that they can walk into a new environment, try something they’ve never done before, and have fun doing it.
Sometimes the first class is a little overwhelming. Sometimes they want Mom or Dad to stay close. And sometimes they walk in like they own the place. All of that is completely normal.
