Today we remember #27 Don Larway on our countdown to Hockey Day in Houston. Don joined the WHA Houston Aeros in their 2nd Avco World Trophy season and would call Houston home until the Aeros ceased operations in 1978.

#29 on our count down is WHA Houston Aeros Avco World Trophy champion and WHA Hall of Famer Ron Grahame. Ron and Wayne Rutledge formed a formidable goaltender tandem. This past September Ron returned to Houston along with the Avco World Trophy to celebrate the 50th reunion of the Aeros championship team.

30 days out from Hockey Day in Houston and we remember Wayne Rutledge, an original Houston Aeros goaltender who would call Houston home for all 6 years of the WHA era in Houston. This past September members of the Rutledge family joined other former players for the 50th year reunion of the Houston Aeros Avco World Trophy team and made sure to tell stories of their time in Houston and how great of a hockey town Houston is!
