It’s a simple word, but it means a lot to us.

Players together. Coaches together. Teams together. A club together.

There will be wins, losses, brilliant performances, difficult days, mistakes and moments we’ll remember for years. Through all of it, the most important thing is the people standing alongside you.

We want Bluebonnets to be a place where players feel supported, challenged, valued and part of something.

Different teams. Different journeys. One club. Together. 💙🪻

Teach the game. Don’t control it. 🪻

There’s a difference.

Our job as coaches isn’t to give players every answer or make every decision for them. It’s to give them the information, understanding and confidence to begin finding those answers themselves.

Explain it. Show it. Question it. Let them try it.

Sometimes they’ll get it right. Sometimes they won’t. That’s part of development.

Ultimately, we want players who can step onto the field, recognize what’s happening in front of them and solve problems without constantly looking toward the sideline.

Give them the tools. Then let them play. 💙🪻

Something that occurred to us while speaking with a trial player recently.

Our approach isn’t match to match. We don’t want a scoreline on Saturday or Sunday to become the only barometer of whether a player — or a team — is progressing.

We’re looking further ahead.

That means giving players the freedom to **play**. To make decisions. To make mistakes. To receive instruction. And then, importantly, to **revisit** those moments again and again.

Revisit the decision.
Revisit the technique.
Revisit the understanding.

Development takes time. There will be good weekends and difficult ones along the way. Our responsibility is to keep looking beyond the next result and continue shaping confident, thoughtful footballers — and, just as importantly, good people.

Houston Bluebonnets is delighted to officially announce our partnership with Offside Explorers — Home of the Two Leg Tour.

We want being part of the Bluebonnets to provide experiences that extend beyond training sessions, league matches and tournament weekends.

Through our partnership with Offside Explorers, our players and families will have opportunities to experience football internationally — training, competing, watching the game and experiencing different football cultures around the world.

Our first adventure together is already taking shape, with Chelsea and London in March 2027. 🇬🇧

And this is only the beginning.

We believe travel can be an incredible part of a young player's development. New teammates. New opponents. New environments. New cultures. New memories.

Tournament Day II.

Back at it in The Woodlands for another full day at the HTX Youth Cup.

It is definitely not hot. Everyone is completely fresh. And absolutely nobody has emptied their water bottle before kickoff...

Lots of football still to play, lots to learn, and plenty of smiles despite the Texas heat.

Look after each other. Compete together. Enjoy it.

This weekend, the Bluebonnets head north to The Woodlands for the HTX Youth Cup.

Four teams. One club. A lot of football ahead.

Another opportunity for our players to compete, develop, spend time together and represent the Bluebonnets.

Enjoy the games. Embrace the challenges. Look after each other.
