Played state for the first time in school history! Team shot 315-309 for a total of 621. Low Grizzly was senior Asher Vargas with scores of 74-73 (+3) T14 finish. Although the team didn’t finish the way they wanted, they fought hard and competed at the top level! Thank you to seniors Grant Guenther and Asher Vargas for your four years of commitment and leadership! The 2025-2026 Grizzly Varsity Boys season is officially in the books.

Comeback for the ages! Grand Oaks A has a 34-shot turnaround to shoot a school record final round (-9) 279. 11 shots back to start the final round and finishes 2nd place at the 13-6A District Varsity Boys Tournament. Punching their ticket to the Regional Tournament in Tyler, TX. April 13-14. Grant Harris ended regulation with a tie for 3rd. 147 total. Grant went into a three man playoff and after three holes secured 3rd place individually.
Huge CONGRATULATIONS to the Varsity A team! Despite missing the first round of the Houston Open Monday Qualifier, Asher Vargas came back for the final round with a school-record 66, leading the charge as the team climbed into and locked up second place.
Collective and CLUTCH effort by the entire team. Full out relentless start and championship finish by all five players!

Emma posted (+8) 80 to win by four shots. Securing 3rd place was Leah Lessing (+13) 85. Congratulations to the team on a great season and for today’s performance.

Varsity played 36-holes yesterday at Lake Windcrest GC. The original event was a four team match play. With one team W/D. Three schools (Grand Oaks, The Woodlands and Tomball) played a tri-match (6 man teams - low five scores). With GO winning the team event Battle at Lake Windcrest and both Landon Clifton and Asher Vargas posting (E) 144 for two rounds tied for 1st. Landon and Asher played two extra holes in a sudden death playoff, Landon Clifton winning the playoff. Congrats to the team and Landon for winning both team and individual titles and some momentum going to 13-6A District Tournament next week.
