You might be asking yourself, why join PEA?
Whether you’re looking to join as a member of our team or as one of our various valued event goers, we have so much going on!
Here’s a few things PEA has been up to:
We were featured in Stroll Magazine!
We’ve opened chapters throughout different high schools, including middle school and university! We recently opened a chapter for T.H. Rogers and another in UT Austin!
We hosted many events advocating for different kinds of mental health, such as when we went to the Alzheimer’s Walk
We’ve hosted a few panels where teens gave nuggets of information about their feelings or their perspectives on teenagehood in order to give parents a better idea on how to advocate for their own teen’s mental health
And that’s only to name a few! PEA is an organization dedicated to its cause, so rest assured that we are always expanding and exploring!

CALLING PARENTS, TEACHERS, AND TEENS: Join us on February 8th at DeBakey High School for our second Understanding Your Teen 101 event!
Featuring a panel of teenagers, we will dissect various benefits and dangers of teen engagement in the social media world surrounding our event category "Social Media 101: The Good, the Bad, the Ugly" coupled with breakout group exercises, educational brochures, a Q&A session, and snacks!!

We are a mental health nonprofit for teens, by teens.

Our mission is to:
- expose teens to the world of fitness
- help teens better their mental health through exercise and nutrition
- spread awareness for medical literature around physical activity's role in:
- increased self-esteem
- reduced anxiety
- improved mood
- released hormones such as cortisol, prolactin, growth hormone, and testosterone
- most importantly, create healthy long-lasting habits (while having fun)
