Fast Coalition is a family of coaches committed to growing together—for the betterment of our athletes, our profession, and our community. šŸŒŽ

Less than 20 spots remain, and registration closes next week.

Learn alongside some of the best coaches in the NCAA, Will Collins, and the entire FAST familia. We are meeting every Sunday on Zoom. Call at around 8:30 PM CST.

šŸ—£ļø The waitlist is long—but we’re only accepting coaches who are ready to learn, contribute, and elevate the standard together.

This isn’t just a certification. It’s a community.

šŸ—£ļø One Size Does Not Fit All.

I see far too many programs running the same concepts over and over, regardless of the individual in front of them.

Every athlete may require a different stimulus, a different approach, or a different progression. This is where expertise and coaching experience matter.

A coach with a larger toolbox has more options to identify what an athlete actually needs—and the ability to apply the right tool at the right time.

It’s easy to see athletes who aren’t progressing toward their potential and assume they simply need to work harder. Sometimes, they need to be developed differently.

The higher you go, the more the details matter.

Elite development isn’t about doing more. It’s about knowing exactly what to do, when to do it, and why. šŸ¤ Codeblack Elite Track Club

šŸ—£ļøONE SIZE DONT FILL ALL. Find the right tools for the individual and grow your toolbox.

Developing the proper positioning and movement patterns allows an athlete to become more efficient—especially taller athletes or those with unique body proportions and dispositions.

Movement cannot be approached with a one-size-fits-all philosophy. Positioning, mechanics, and technical ex*****on must be tailored to the individual in precise detail.

This is why expertise matters. Development isn’t simply about teaching movements—it’s about understanding the athlete and knowing how to make those movements work for them.

Foot Replacement Ɨ Hip Alignment

Quite often, athletes underestimate the importance of proper foot replacement in conjunction with maintaining optimal hip alignment.

Efficient acceleration is not simply about pushing harder. It is about consistently organizing the limbs and pelvis so the foot can be repositioned along an efficient path down the track.

When the foot begins to move neutrally or excessively in front of the body, the athlete can lose horizontal projection, disrupt rhythm, and create unnecessary braking forces.

Proper foot replacement allows the athlete to maintain alignment, preserve momentum, and continue directing force down the track rather than away from it.

Alignment creates consistency. Consistency creates efficiency.

So many people ask me, ā€œwhat drills can I do that will make me faster?ā€

The answer is simple:

It’s not about the drill. It’s about the intention behind the drill.

A drill is only a tool. What develops speed is how that tool is used to create the proper movement patterns, positions, timing, and intent.

You can perform the same drill 1,000 times and still reinforce inefficient movement if the intention and ex*****on are wrong.

Practice makes permanent.

When the intention is right, the drill becomes purposeful. When the movement pattern is refined, the athlete has the opportunity to unlock another level of performance.šŸ“ˆ

šŸ—£ļøDon’t just do drills. Understand what you’re trying to create.

Developing the proper stride structure begins with proper intention, consistent drilling, and technical refinement in every repetition.

It’s easy to see athletes who run fast because of their natural talent while still displaying inefficient movement patterns.

Technical acuity removes limitations. It allows athletes to better express their physical abilities, improve efficiency, and create movement that can be repeated under higher speeds and greater demands.

Talent may create speed. Technical mastery helps sustain it.
