"Today, Elizabeth made some positive progress. The biggest news is that she was taken off the ventilator to test her body's response. Not only did she begin breathing on her own right away, but she also sustained it for about 45 minutes. This is a significant win for her!

Tomorrow, she is scheduled for more facial reconstruction surgery, planned for first thing in the morning. Please continue to pray, specifically for her surgery, her surgeons, nurses, and her entire care team. We are so grateful for the exceptional care she is receiving.

We ask that God continue to be with her and help heal her. Thank you for your ongoing support and prayers."

NAFLD - the letters that scared me and had me WAKE UP at a whole new level. 🚨🛑
The GPs who diagnosed the condition were not helpful. They scared me more than helped.
Their only suggestion was to go on medication. 💊

Having a Non-alcoholic fatty liver made no sense. 🤔❓
I ate healthy - so I thought.
Organic, clean oils, supplementation, exercise. 🌿💪

Plus I had NO SYMPTOMS of any liver issues at all.

How did I find out I had NAFLD? 🕵️‍♂️🔍

My Lexus was totaled as a driver plowed into the back of my car, not paying attention. 🚗💥

The seatbelt stopped me from hitting the dashboard or worse. Yet the pain in my right side from the restraint had me go check for cracked ribs or any damage to my organs. 🤕

The ultrasound luckily showed no cracked or broken ribs but it did reveal, much to my surprise, a Non-Alcoholic fatty liver. 🩻😲

I had never heard of the term. I rarely drink alcohol yet my liver was at high risk of being scarred by sclerosis. 🚫🍷⚠️
