The Houston Stick Fighting Association is an association of like-minded martial artists who engage in simulated combat to test and improve their skills in blade and stick based fighting arts. Members of the HSFA are striving to develop and improve their skills through simulated combat to see what works and what does not work for them with an opponent who is giving them resistance.

HSFA's Spring Gathering of 2026 was great! We had 11 participants who had 19 matches! Everyone who showed up fought hard, forged friendships, and elevated their martial arts skills! It was a fantastic way to kick off our 20th Anniversary!

Small, but great HSFA Gathering today! Everyone sparred hard and showed up and put in the work.
This Gathering marked the end of the 19th year of the HSFA. Next year will be 20 years and we are still going strong!!

Bahala Na Martial Arts Association and Triple 7 Escrima are hosting a Filipino Stick Fighting tournament at Texcalibur 2025 in August at the Lonestar fairgrounds in Conroe, TX.
