I used to be a financial analyst. So trust me when I tell you: not working out is one of the most expensive decisions you’re making.

The CDC says physical inactivity costs the U.S. $192 billion a year in healthcare. Regular exercisers save up to $2,500 a year in medical costs. South Asian adults are 2x more likely to develop Type 2 diabetes by midlife. Black adults are 60% more likely to be diagnosed. And across minority communities, the rates keep climbing.

But here’s what gets me fired up: research shows that just 30 minutes of daily movement can cut your risk by 58%. In minority communities? That number is even higher — up to 71%.
