Why do we compete?
The answer is we simply enjoy it, and we love the art and the sport of jiu jitsu.
What are the benefits of competing?
We believe it's more than just earning a place on the podium. It encourages accountability for your training. It teaches us the valuable lesson of consistency and routine, and commitment. It allows one to experience failure and success. It will allow one to address and react to failure or expand success into new heights. These lessons will potentially translate into everyday life for the individual; learning, adapting, fixing mistakes, making adjustments, and fine-tuning success.
Is it OK NOT to compete?
Absolutely! The majority of people who decide to start jiu jitsu are for health reasons, hobbies and activities, and to build character and confidence. Always remember why you started in the first place. It's to do something positive in your life and enjoy it.
