About three months ago, we made a decision as an organization that our boys would NOT play at their age level of 8U. Instead, we decided to challenge them by moving up to compete at the 9U AA level.
We knew it wouldn’t be easy, but we also knew these boys were ready for the challenge. Our goal was never to take the easy route or chase easy wins. Our goal was to DEVELOP, COMPETE, and prepare these boys for the next level of baseball!
Of course, there were doubters. People who didn’t believe these boys were ready. Even when I first talked to our parents about the decision, some were nervous, some were scared, and some weren’t sure what to expect. And rightfully so!
But time and time again, THESE BOYS HAVE PROVEN THEY BELONG EXACTLY WHERE THEY ARE! 💪🏾
Not only did we move up and compete against older competition in the 9U AA fall league, but WE WENT OUT AND WON THE LEAGUE CHAMPIONSHIP! 🏆🔥
That speaks volumes about these young men, but it also speaks to the commitment of our PARENTS and COACHES!
To our parents, thank you for trusting the process, believing in our vision, and allowing us to challenge your boys even when it meant watching them struggle at times.
To our coaches, thank you for continuously pouring into these boys, pushing them, believing in them, and never allowing them to settle for mediocrity!
And to our PLAYERS, understand this: We didn’t move up because we thought we were better than everybody. We moved up because we knew staying comfortable wouldn’t make us better!
This was never just about winning a championship. It was about teaching these boys that hard work, commitment, discipline, and believing in themselves can take them places others don’t think they belong!
WE DON’T RUN FROM CHALLENGES. WE CHASE THEM! 💯
