I LOVE WHAT I DO!!
Just want to send a huge virtual hug/high five to one of my amazing client/friends (A.C.) who has been crushing it over the past few months!! She started off just coming to Saturday bootcamp in April. We talked about her goals and how we would get her there. She made adjustments to her nutrition by focusing more on being in a calorie deficit and not just cutting out complete food groups. After about a month or 2, she asked me if I could create her an at-home workout plan to keep her momentum going. AND OF COURSE I DID! 😝 Now she workouts a minimum of 4 days a week (including cardio days) and focuses on living a healthier lifestyle. She is constantly challenging herself with every workout and is a beast at bootcamp! 💪🏾
These are pics she sent me of her progress from when she started working with me in April 2022 to July 2022 (the date on the 1st pic was mislabeled). Her results are awesome! She is feeling better, her clothes fit better, she is sleeping better and has an overall better mood. She understands slow and steady wins the raise.

💥3 reasons why you’re hitting early plateaus!
What IS a plateau?
🦋A plateau in your weight loss is when you don’t see any drop in weight OR measurements OR changes in progress pictures for at least 3 weeks!
💫If things don’t progress after 1-2 weeks that does NOT mean you’re at a plateau! Give it a bit longer!
🤯Keep in mind…plateaus are absolutely normal! Don’t get frustrated. Just make the changes I discuss below with these common mistakes so you don’t hit them too often!
✨️You started your calories too low
💫Your body will adapt to anything you give it. If you start your calories too low then you’re not leaving yourself room to make adjustments when your body adapts.
✨️You started cardio or steps too high
💫Just like the calorie situation, when you start cardio or steps too high you don’t have room to adjust as your body adapts.
✨️You’re not tracking your data
💫Make sure you’re tracking all of the variables that you want to be able to manipulate for better progress! Calories, macros, water intake, steps, weight lifted in workouts - these are all things that should be tracked so you can adjust them to improve results!

I get asked quite frequently how some are successful with their fitness goals and others aren't? Well the simple answer is they put in the work.
They don't have special skills or some magic secret...they just do certain things to ensure they get the results they desire such as...
✨️ They understand consistency is key
💪🏾 They recognize its discipline over motivation
✨️ They don't compare themselves to others
💪🏾 They know it's a marathon not a sprint
✨️ They understand the scale isn't everything
💪🏾 They show up even when things get difficult
✨️ They have a plan
💪🏾 They celebrate even the small victories
✨️ They hold themselves accountable

Our Saturday Morning workouts were AWESOME! Last week (1st pic) were the guys...this week (2nd pic) the girls. All I can say is the women were on FIYAH and finished in record time! 😜 Either way both groups showed up and got it done!! ✅️💪🏾

I am choosing ME, I've written out my goals and I'm starting with self-care!
Self-care encourages you to maintain a healthy relationship with yourself so that you can transmit the good feelings to others. You cannot give to others what you don't have yourself. While some may misconstrue self-care as selfish, it's far from that. When you pay adequate attention to your well-being, you're not considering your needs alone. You're reinvigorating yourself so that you can be the best version of yourself for the people around you. Everyone around you also benefits from the renewed energy and joy you exhibit. 😝
