I’ve been home from Lizzy’s for 24 hours now and just wanted to share a few things.

Lizzy and I had a relationship that started with a little hate and a little jealousy. We were cold and bratty but that didn’t last too long. Our dynamic was much the same. Her and Pat were just as close as Stanley and I. We both had a hunger to win and our competitive nature is almost scary. We had a respected rivalry, one that I personally think will go down as the most fierce female rivalry in drag racing history.
The last year we hated drawing each other out of the bucket. Our priority was to beat the boys and go to an all girl final. We got very close a couple times but of course one of us would screw it up. Gosh, we wanted it so damn bad.
We were notorious for making fun of some of the drivers outfits in the meetings, I’ll keep the specifics between us but you could always find us giggling and whispering to each other.
She drew the #6 about every 3rd race and would bring it over and confirm if it was a 6 or 9. 😂
Going back through our texts, they consist of alot of dumb selfies sent back and forth and I’m thankful for those. She was notorious for ignoring texts so I’d send her a pic of myself waving like, “Hey, I’m here, helllloooo.” and she’d send one right back.

I don’t understand life or why God takes the ones that deserve to live. It’s the hardest part of faith for me. He took my sparring partner. What I do know is that she squeezed every bit of juice out of 33 years that she possibly could’ve. Her titles will never be taken, she will be talked about for years to come, and she will forever ride with me down any surface we’re tackling.

I love you Lizzy, and when we meet again I’m beating your ass in that final. 🤍🪽🏁
