Hey parents... how did the first month of summer go? (aka Day 1 )😅
Was it all sunshine, popsicles, and happy children?
Or did someone already say, "I'm bored" before 9:00 a.m.? 🙋♀️
Trust me, I get it. I remember those early years when summer sounded magical... and then by week two everyone was wondering what day it was and where all the snacks went.
The transition into summer can be just as challenging as the transition back to school in the fall.
But you've got this. ❤️
And if you need a little help along the way, we're here for that too.
☀️ Summer Camps at The Dancing House
📅 Thursdays | 9:00–11:00 AM
✨ We have ONE spot left in our Frozen Camp (through June 11).
✨ Plus several other camps throughout the summer filled with dancing, crafts, games, imagination, and a couple hours of fun for your kiddo.
Because sometimes kids need something exciting to look forward to...
And sometimes parents need two hours. 😉
Click the link in our bio to see all upcoming camps and grab your spot! Or commend "CAMP" and we'll take care of you.

We don’t offer social dance classes. So when people ask about lessons I always refer them to Tricia!
She has a great toffer for summer.
Never offered before: Summer Sampler Special with our Owner, Tricia Schwietz! There's no better way to 'get your feet wet' than to try a few different styles of dances! Walk-ins welcome. No contract. No membership. No commitment. Only fun. Dance and Entertainment Studios: 5880 Omaha Ave N, Stillwater, MN 55082. (Private Lessons also available, daily by appointment).

At The Dancing House, we truly believe there is a pathway for every dancer. 💖
Not every student wants the exact same dance experience… and that’s okay.
Some dancers are looking for a joyful introduction to movement and confidence-building.
Some want weekly technique and consistent growth.
Some are ready for extra performance opportunities.
And some are ready to pursue competition and push themselves to the next level.
What matters most to us is that dancers feel:
✨ seen
✨ supported
✨ challenged
✨ and safe while they grow
Because our mission has never just been about creating great dancers.
It’s about helping students of all ages and abilities grow into kind, confident, life-ready humans through the art of dance.
At TDH, we believe in:
✔️ High standards + high humanity
✔️ Support without pressure
✔️ Belonging over intimidation
✔️ Meeting dancers where they are
Whether your child dances once a week or dreams of joining a competition team someday… there is a place for them here.
And we’re honored to walk that journey with your family. 💕

A brand new opportunity for young dancers who are ready for more.
More growth.

Ten years ago, when I walked through divorce, life changed fast.
Even with support in place, the financial pressure felt heavy. And if I’m honest, there were services available that I probably should have used… but pride got in the way.
What I did have back then was a little more time than money.
So I started volunteering.
A pastor once shared a quote from Andy Stanley that stuck with me deeply:
“Do for one what you wish you could do for many.”
And I never forgot it.
For years now, I’ve delivered food in our community, often to seniors right here in our neighborhood. I’ve also helped deliver backpacks filled with food for students heading into the weekend.
That one hits home.
Because I know some of those families are walking through job loss, divorce, illness, transition, stress, or simply trying to keep their heads above water. And I’m thankful those services exist. Truly.
This post isn’t about praise.
It’s a reminder.
A reminder that:
• There are people who want to help.
• There are services available if you need them.
• And even in lean seasons, we still have something to give.
Sometimes it’s money.
Sometimes it’s time.
Sometimes it’s simply kindness.
Delivering food takes me less than 30 minutes, but the reminder it gives me lasts a whole lot longer:
Never judge.
Always be kind.
You truly never know what someone is carrying.
As we head into summer break, dropping off backpacks for kids feels especially emotional this year.
If you’re in a season where you need help, I hope you know there is no shame in receiving it.
And if you’re in a season where you can help, even a little, I promise there are opportunities all around you.
If you’d like to volunteer with our local food shelf here in Hudson, send me a DM and I’ll connect you. 🤍
